The Vision of the Two Cows

"I saw a fat cow that looked very beautiful grazing on the pastures of the field, but then I began to notice that the beautiful fat cow slowly started losing weight, turning very skinny until it became an ugly skeletal cow. It was so skinny and bony, that you could see its ribs sticking out."

Although our economy is presently enjoying a time of plenty and abundance, this will only last for another severn years (from 2001-2007), giving way to seven years of lean times where the economy will be in trouble (from 2008-2014). Get out of debt and get your house in order for the lean timies.

Those words were written back in the year 2000; This entry is being made 19 years later in 2019.  As we look back in retrospect, we now know that the Stock Market crashed in September 29, 2008. The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 777 points, the most in any single day in history.  Global Markets also panicked as well. Oil dropped to $95 a barrel, and gold soared to $900 an ounce. In early October of  2008 Congress finally passed the bailout bill but the damage had been done.

The Stock Market continued to fall and the economy lost 17,000 jobs for the first time since 2004. the big three automakers asked for a federal bailout. Major investment banks like Leehman Brothers, Bear Stearns and Fannie Mae & Freddie Mack fell as a result of the crash. This is considered by many economists to have been the most serious crisis since the Great Depression of the 1930's. The nation entered into a recession, as the times of the skinny cow in the vision had arrived. This recession continued for seven more years until well into 2013 and parts of 2014. The years of the skinny cow had finally come to an end.

Genesis 41:26-27 "The seven good cows are seven years; and the seven good ears are seven years: the dream is one. And the seven thin and ill favored cows that came up after them are seven years; and the seven empty ears dried by the east wind shall be seven years of famine."
